Golden tabby tigers do not have too much to worry about because they are mainly at the top of the food chain, but that does not mean that cubs are not in danger also. Tiger cubs (Or any cub usually) are very curious, and want to learn more about everything, so they wander off from their mother and father, out in the open where there are many animals who wouldn't mind having a tiger cub for dinner. This is why a mother tigress teaches her cubs to stay close to the den. Sometimes, when a family is traveling from one place to another, the mother tigress will pick up one of her cubs by its scruff, and carry it to where it needs to be, especially when the journey is too long and hard for a cub to make it there itself. The father golden tabby tiger does not help at all, which makes it more of a struggle to the tigress, because if there is more than one cub, she has to make sure that all of them are safe wherever the family may go. Although this is not much of a struggle because they live in zoos, but this looking at when they were still living in the wild. The main reasons golden tabby tigers went "extinct" was because of poachers. Poacher/hunters were hunting these tigers and killing their habitat. Luckily, they have a safe place to live, (hopefully) without any danger. An adult or juvenile tiger's stripes help it blend into the tall grass while hunting.
