Golden tabby tigers are mainly at the top of the food chain, so they don't have too much to worry about if they are out in the open. But that doesn't mean that they can live a care-free, danger-free life. They still have a couple of threats. Buffalo are a threat to a golden tabby tiger's life. Though golden tabby tigers could kill a buffalo, one kick from one could kill a tiger. Bears are also a risk. Especially since they have very large, strong claws. Golden tabby tigers mainly eat buffalo, gaur, porcupines, civets, carrion, peacocks, foxes, and sometimes even fish, snakes, lizards and frogs!
Golden tabby tigers do not hunt or live in packs or pairs. They hunt alone. While a tiger is hunting, it will crouch down into a hunting position, and stalk its prey slowly until it is close enough to pounce or leap upon the animal. Once in the tiger's grasp, the tiger will break the neck or rip out the throat to ensure that the animal is dead. They need to eat lots of meat because they only hunt 1 kill every 8-9 days. Tigers are carnivores, which means that they only eat meat, but when their typical food is not available, than they will occasionally eat grass or berries. Normally, when a tiger eats grass or berries, it is to aid digestion.
